GD-1 Spirulina was first cultured for commercial, at Nonthaburi Province in1988. Then, the project extended from the small area to the big pond of 100 square meters large at Boonsom Spirulina Farm, located at Mae Wang District, Chiang Mai Province,in order to experiment the invented equipment. In this project, Spirulina Plantensis was cultured by Monoculture method.
